It is intended as a safeguard against the rise of class-based parties or those that serve specific political interests, by forcing politicians to appeal to the widest possible audience and build broad alliances from the start if they hope to become a serious candidate. This has helped to make American politics the preserve of a relatively narrow middle-class electorate; most working-class Americans did not bother to vote in a system that seemed far removed from their concerns, even before the general fall-off in voting rates across the Western world. Yet even by the past standards of US presidential elections, this is a non-political contest, reflecting the exhaustion of both the traditional Republican and Democratic blocs. Obama, whose candidacy has so energised the race, embodies the current state of affairs.

After Effects CS3 Professional
Adobe Bridge CS3 can now play image-sequence stacks as animations, allowing Photoshop image sequences to play in large preview windows before being imported into After Effects. If you have a series of sequentially numbered frame files in a folder, selecting the folder will preview the contents as a movie. Flash CS3 integration The new version of After Effects is highly interoperable with Flash CS3. Import Flash (SWF format) files as scalable vectors with alpha channel transparency, and use them to easily create 3-D layer animations. The rasterized vector shapes—along with the alpha channels from Flash—are preserved in the same manner as Photoshop or Illustrator layers. This is great for motion graphics producers who do most of their animation work in Flash. After Effects also lets you render videos out to Flash movies, along with exported cue points.

Bush for entrusting Southern Methodist University with an important national resource, the school's board of trustees unanimously approved an agreement to locate the Bush presidential library, museum and policy institute on the Dallas campus. The Feb. 22 vote came hours after an official announcement that the Bush Presidential Library Foundation had chosen the United Methodist-related school as home of the planned facility.
